OVERVIEW

The JS173 electronic Explosion Vibration Detector has been specially designed for internal fitting on ATMs (Automated Teller Machines) and free standing safes where space is a premium. This multi-faceted sensor identifies the most commonly encountered forms of attack such as drilling, cutting, hammering, explosion and thermal lance. Using the latest signal-processing technology coupled with a unique False Alarm Avoidance (FA2) algorithm, the EVD minimises false alarm risk. A self-test function is included with the JS173 EVD. The central alarm control panel can remotely invoke the test facility in order to verify correct sensor operation. This would normally be carried out on a weekly basis. As the JS173 is a central signal management device, using a JS148 or JS190 remote head unit and/or the JS161 SLN (Smoke Light Noise) increases the area of coverage thereby maximising security at minimal cost. The remote head option is particularly useful when BS4737 installations need to be upgraded to BS7042.
